BASHA BUILDING
Bob the Builder ;")
One of the skills that I learned during my Land Base Module was bashing building. This is a skill that I feel is very useful to me as it allows me to know how a basha is built and how useful it is when camping out in the wilderness. When I was learning this skill, some aspects such as having an adjustable knot to tighten the basha to make it more stable and durable. But during this period of learning, I made many mistakes yet I never give up on improving myself on this.

KNOT & LASHING
Rope whisperer;")
Knots and lashing are one of my most favorite skills to learn and do. Starting with knots, I really love the double figure of 8 knot. The double figure of 8 is a knot that is able to take the weight of almost anything without much stress on the rope. But one of the knots that i do still struggle with would be the bowline. I do still have trouble remembering how to tie it but I'm getting there at remembering. About lashing, I do feel that I'm confident in doing it. Square lashing, Diagonal lashing, Shear lashing, Round lashing & Gyn lashing.

How has it shaped me?
S232 module, or Land Base Module, is one of the most interesting but fun modules to me. At first, I feel that I have known a lot about what land base adventure was all about. But after learning more about the module, I was able to explore more of what it was. Land Base has really opened my eyes to a lot of new things, such as what do we need to pack when we are going for an overseas trip that we don't know what is there. Researching upon the place and getting the right equipment was very crucial if we were to go into a different environment than Singapore. Singapore is a humid country and if we did not bring the right protective gear, we would really freeze in the colder countries. Land Base also taught me that there is more than 1 kind of cooking equipment we can bring. I have always thought the mess tins were the only cooking equipment we were able to use in outdoor cooking, but when I found out that Trangia was a thing, my eyes lit up to learn about this multi-tool item that was able to bring multiple cooking essentials all in one. So honestly, S232 has really expanded my knowledge and I would really use this knowledge to share with other people in the outdoor industry.
